The Hampstead Players will perform the Anglo Saxon poem “The Dream of the Rood” (recently on display in the ‘Anglo Saxon Kingdoms” exhibition at the British Library) on 13th and 16th April.
The performance will be in modern translation, interspersed with extracts from the original Anglo Saxon text, plus reflective moments of music.
There are 2 performances, at Hampstead Parish Church, Church Row:
Saturday April 13th at 5pm, and Tuesday April 16th at 7.30pm
Admission is Free, though with a collection in aid of the Bishop of London’s Appeal to combat Modern Day Slavery.
